Feel like the sailors of Madeira who first landed in Machico Bay more than 600 years ago. Here the history of Madeira is within reach and the cultural landscape created at that time has hardly changed. Terraced fields on which sweet potatoes, pumpkins, pointed cabbage, chard, pimpinela, beans, etc. grow all year round. We follow a particularly beautiful levada section of approx. 6.5 km and continuously take in the great views over the spacious Machico Valley down to the Atlantic.
