Our main focus is on top-notch equipment; therefore, our bikes undergo regular maintenance and are replaced as needed to consistently uphold a high standard of quality. Currently, at our bike station, we offer Transition Sentinel Alloy Bikes in all common sizes.

Madeira is one of Europe’s most underrated mountain biking destinations. The island packs more than 200 km of singletrack into 740 km², ranging from gentle levada trails along ancient water channels to brutally technical volcanic descents through UNESCO Laurissilva laurel forest. You can summit at 1,800 m in the morning and roll out to a black-sand beach by lunch — the elevation change creates fast, varied riding you simply can’t find on the mainland.
Our mountain biking Madeira tours run year-round and cover every discipline: cross-country and family-friendly levada rides at XC Level 1, technical trail riding through chestnut forests at Trail / Enduro, and proper downhill at Enduro / Downhill with shuttle uplifts. Every rider gets a full-suspension Radon JAB MX 9.0 (or e-bike on request), protective gear, hotel pickup, a certified local guide who knows the trails in every condition, and free photos at the end. No mainland-style queues, no overcrowded trails, just real Madeira riding.
Beginner to expert, you ride what your level can handle, and the route flexes with the weather. North-side trails come alive in summer when the south is dry; south-side trails are unrideable in winter when the north turns into a mud pit. Tell us when you’re visiting and we’ll pair you with the trail that’s running best that week.
Madeira is renowned for its diverse microclimates throughout the year. We tailor our tours to the daily conditions, ensuring an optimal experience. Safety is our top priority, and we consistently minimize the risk of encountering rain, wind, or cold. Your comfort and well-being are our guiding principles.
Additional equipment: Helmets, protectors, gloves, SPD paddles (optional) are included in the standard programs. A full-face helmet can be rented for a small fee upon request.

It depends on the route. We grade tours from XC Level 1 (gentle levada paths, suitable for first-time mountain bikers and families) through to enduro and downhill (technical descents for experienced riders). Tell us your level when you book and we match you to the right trail.
Madeira's microclimate means you can ride year-round. Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are ideal — mild temperatures and good trail conditions. Summer trails on the north side stay rideable when the south is dry; winter is best on the south coast.
Half-day mountain biking tours in Madeira start around €75 per person and include bike rental, helmet and pads, hotel pickup, certified guide and photos. Full-day enduro tours with shuttle uplifts are €120-€150.
No — every tour includes a Radon JAB MX 9.0 full-suspension mountain bike (or e-bike on request). Helmet, gloves and knee pads are also included. Just bring riding clothes, sunglasses and water.
Yes. Our Levada Tour (XC Level 1) is designed for first-time mountain bikers and families with kids aged 12+. The trails are flat, scenic and follow ancient water channels through the laurel forest. We cover basic technique before you ride.
