update: 15-06-2020
Dear guests,
During the last days, Lokoloko team has been following the developments of the goverment regulations for the reopening of the tourism sector. From July on, the tourism is officialy reopened. Everyone is welcomed in our island, and we are confident that Madeira is indeed one of the safest places in the world to travel due to its outstanding pandemic control, resulting in few cases.
Having that in mind, the Government applied the following measures:
1) Everyone that arrives to Madeira needs to fill an epidemic form
2) Everyone that arrives to Madeira needs to have a negative COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours (3 days in advance of the arrival)
3) In case someone does not have a test with them, there is a possibility to do the test at the airport for free. After doing, the traveler goes to his hotel and no quarantine is required. The result will be reported in less than 12 hours.
4) If the test is positive, then a quarantine of 7 days is required and the person will be treated as local would be All the costs related to that quarantine and treatment will be payed by the govermment.
if you have any doubts, don't hestistate to get in touch with us.
